Are Neck Liposuction Results Permanent?
When discussing whether a plastic surgery procedure is permanent, many factors affect how your results will look over time. Neck liposuction removes fat cells, and your body will not produce new ones to replace them. The fat cells removed are gone forever. However, the fat cells remaining can expand to hold more fat, so your results may look different if you have a significant change in weight.
Most people will enjoy the results of neck liposculpture for a lifetime, especially if they maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, aging may result in loose skin and other changes to the neck area. At this point, you may choose to use another procedure to address this issue. While each person’s results will vary, you can expect that your improvements will last.
Do I Need Neck Liposuction or a Neck Lift?
While neck liposuction addresses the accumulation of stubborn submental fat, you may also have loose neck skin or the appearance of jowls. Neck liposuction alone will not address skin laxity.
