Facial fat transfer in Las Vegas is a simple, effective, and comfortable procedure. We take excess fat from one area of your body that has extra to spare (i.e., the lower belly or thighs) and use this tissue as your own natural facial filler to help restore volume. The final result is a marked improvement in the volume, depressions, and unpleasant contours of one’s face.
What is a Facial Fat Transfer?
The area that will donate the fat is first numbed with local anesthesia. Next, a very tiny incision is made in this area to allow for the careful removal of excess fat with a small cannula (similar to a thin straw). This incision only requires one single stitch to close it.
The harvested fat is then spun in a machine to separate the different components and purify the fat. The facial areas to be treated with fat are also given local anesthesia prior to receiving the purified fat. To place the fat, an even smaller cannula is used to enter the skin through a tiny opening. The fat is carefully injected, contoured, and confirmed to be even. No stitches are required!
Fat can be placed basically in almost any area of the face, but it’s most commonly used to fill out the cheek mounds, cheek hollows (depressions in the midface under the actual cheeks), infra-orbital rims (under the eyes to fill out the tear troughs), nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Fat is very appealing to use because it’s easily accepted by your own body. Fat Transfer can give results that last for many years.
